You raised us young boys like we were girls. You told us that men are given every unfair advantage while you simultaneously gave every unfair advantage to girls. You told us men are nothing but stupid, crude, self-centered potential rapists. You told us that all that matters in society is that we take care of women and respect their every wish. You took away fundamental constitutional rights from us in order to better “protect” women from us while using misrepresented studies and falsified data as well as outright blatant lies to further your ends. You told us that men are women are equal and then told us “ladies first.” You told us that we were wrong just to look at a girl because “the male gaze” is not just a human being perceiving the world around him but a physically harmful force of evil. You told us that for centuries women had been second class citizens who were brutalized by men, and when we actually did research we found that reality wasn’t ever anything like that. You told us that if we complained or even questioned the status quo, if we ever ask “what about me?” “what about boys?” that we are nothing more than misogynistic pigs. You told us that women should be given everything and men should be given nothing. That girls should be praised and encouraged and boys should be stifled and watched. You shouted “you go girl!” and you told us that girls had low self esteem, while you tried to systematically destroy everything inside us that made us male. You told us that if we ever criticize a woman for any reason at all that we are sexist. You told us that we were bad for just being male, that there was something inherently wrong with being a boy or a man. You told us to “man up” to “be a man” and to “grow some balls” while telling us that we were the oppressers, that we were the ones taking advantage of and psychologically damaging girls. You told us to trust you. You told us that you cared about making all human beings equal. You told us lies.
